These Four Men Should Always Be Remembered

From my memories and feelings the most humanitarian, benevolent, altruistic men who helped survivors and deportees are:

Dr. Mikahil Hagopian,   Archbishop Mekhitarian,   Nerses Melik Tankian   and   Gabriel Babayan

Dr. Mikahil Hagopian

A most esteemed, self-sacrificing doctor during the most terrifying days of the 1915 Genocide. While fearing for his own life and that of his family, he still tended to the gravely ill, gave money to the needy and did his best to help those fleeing from the claws of the barbaric Turk.

 Archbishop Kude Mekhitarian

1917-1923. With much difficulty found a way to locate and rescue more than 2,500 orphans from hell and led them to safety in Haleb (Aleppo).

Archbishop Nerses Melik Tankian

1922 Tabriz Tried his best to help 20,000 starving soldiers fleeing from Bolshevic Armenia and the survivors from Turkey.

Gabriel Babayan

4. Mexico City –  He was the first Armenian in Mexico City who welcomed and helped Armenian refugees to establish themselves with jobs and homes in Mexico, 1923.
