Archbishop Kude Mkhitarian
Kude Meckatarian was a priest who walked out of Turkey after the Genocide in 1920 with 2500 Armenian orphans that he had gathered. When Hampartzoum got out of the hospital for Typhoid fever, he sleeps in the stable next to an Armenian church in ruins. Kude was there tending to the orphans who lost their parents to the massacres. Eventually Kude would settle in San Paolo Brazil for the remainder of his life.
